Ida Lee Cheatham

Mrs. Ida L. Cheatham, age 105, of Richmond, departed this life on February 19, 2025. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth H. Mitchell; and two grandchildren, Sheryl Mitchell-Thomas and Cary Mitchell. She is survived by one daughter, Carla Cheatham-Debrough (William); one son, Carl Mason Spencer (Sheila); a host of grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Cheatham can be viewed on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10:00am-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 16210 Short Cut Road, Doswell, Virginia, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Rev. Nathaniel Griffin, Pastor. Interment, Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45am on Saturday.
